It took me a while to discovery a new way to maximize windows in Windows 7.
Traditionally I would click on the box next to the close "X" in the upper right hand of the window to maximize the screen. This could be a browser, folder window or most screens. I've found a new, faster way to navigate.
If you aren't aware try this:
Drag the window to the top-center of your screen and voila!
I found this by accident when moving around windows around the desktop. When the window touched the top of the screen a weird thing happened. A little circle popped out of the mouse and the window expanded across the whole screen. Cool!
You can also do another maximizing trick. If you drag the window to the very right or left edge of your screen you can maximize the window to 50% of the screen. Effectively, you can do this for each edge of your screen and have a true split screen without having to re-size.
Let me know if you know of any other fun tricks for moving windows around the screen.
